On tuesday we stopped in Lake Crescent in the Olympic National Park on our way to Forks/La Push. On the drive we pulled over at the side of the road to look at a lake. It was beautiful and just what we'd been hoping to see on our holiday.
At Lake Cresent we went on a walk through the Rainforest.
The trees were unbelievably tall! This one is still alive, even though the middle has been consumed by fire. It was impressive to see.
We stopped for a silly picture in a tunnel under the road.
Marymere Falls
Slightly demonic but cute squirrel that was just behind Dad at the waterfall.
This was a very exciting moment for Sophie. Twilight Town!!! Just had to stop and do the touristy thing. "Forks Welcomes You Twilight Tourists" :o)
In Forks, there were places called Dazzled By Twilight which did tours of the area and Alice's Closet which was a clothes shop. We were thinking that they must have had to change all the names when Stephanie Meyer wrote a book about them.
In La Push, Sophie was excited to see that it looked just like she imagined. Recongnised parts of the beach from the film.
As we entered La Push, there was a sign that said "No Vampire's Beyond This Point" and under that it said "Treaty Line" Small things that make Sophie smile :o)
