This was a day trip out from the campsite to Wells Gray Provicial Park also nicknamed Canada's Waterfall Park. This particular waterfall was alongside the road. It was called Third Canyon by far the best of the three. They built a road bridge over the canyon.
This is Murtle River, fast flowing and wide.
Stood at one side of the road bridge that crosses the river. This particular part is called the Mushbowl.
You can see why. It was loud and scary.
The little wooden bridge looked a bit flimsy considering the power of the river.
Bear sighting number 3! He had a dark face where as the other bear we saw had a lighter face.
We were glad Dad prised us out of the car to go see the next waterfall because this is the spectacular view that we found. It was called the Helmcken Falls and the best so far.
It had made a heart shape in the mountainside. We got sprayed by the mist that came up around the rim.
As we walked to the next waterfall, we looked down on the Mushbowl. It was still intimidating even from up high.
Everywhere we drive we see these bright orange wild lillies along the roadside. The flowers are about two inches big.
I don't know what Mum and Dad are smiling about, they have steam coming out of their ears!
This is Dawson Falls.
Some wild flowers growing on a tree trunk.
Arty shots.
Just to show how close we were to the fast flowing water (it was just below our feet).
Tried to take a picture of the first rainbow we've seen in Canada.
Buffalo Ranch, where we had barbequed bison. It was gooooood! As we were leaving, the chef asked in a Mancunian accent if we'd enjoyed ourselves and offered to sell us the place. She told us tales about bear sightings in the area.

Finally a photo of a bear. They look so lovely and Kala-ish. Everything looks so spectacular and it looks like you are having a fab time. xx
The bears worry me as my family will soon be living amongst them!! Some more great photos - the waterfalls look amazing and everything looks so lush and green. How lucky to be in Canada on Canada day - I can just imagine Logan dressed as a tiny Mounty in next years parade.Glad you're all having a great time xx
